To all new, we basically gather around and play/playtest our stuff. So it's a good opportunity to test your map and get some feedback while trying out stuff you probably wouldn't have otherwise. You might even have fun.

I think this is both a good and bad idea, I think we should consider just using one region, the reason it was split before was due region locks :). Co keep that in consideration, Unfortunately I wont be able to attend this weekend.
This is the NA scene's group and it has been more consistent than any one else's and I sometimes join in.
A couple of things to note:
1. The bulk of the maps are published on NA.
2. Too many EU players can be seen on NA in the mornings.
3. NA is where you are most likely to run into someone important from Blizzard (I you ever do).
I do know the EU Diplo scene has moved over there. I know the bulk of the map makers are over here.
4. If anyone has a spare account, a bot can be set up that will help people "sign up" for games. Getting enough people together is the biggest hurtle and is usually why theses events tend to fail.
I can volunteer some NA time. I've got the stuff to stream and make videos.
if its done on saturday, then you could do it at around 18:00 GMT and it would be okay times for NA, it would be 11:00am - 3:00pm depending on where in US you are at. if I am converting timezones correct.

Finally a thread in the general forum that doesn't make me sigh.
Going in US might be a good idea, but it might also be bad timing for a lot of Europeans. Timezones are a bitch.

most mapmakers are in NA and so are alot of EU its better i would like to attend my i dont want to publish my map on eu untill minor fixes are done
Not just that, but if Public players are needed, NA has over 3 times the amount as EU or any other region.
This is best done in 2 groups on the same region. That way we can use the same maps. And the largest selection is NA anyways.
On top of it a lot of EU players are already over there.
I'm thinking this should be a nightly gig. If its run by a bot then we don't have to worry about so and so now showing up.
