A sheild regenration unit wouldnt be overpowering. It can only repair one unit at a time.... plus it has an energy value of its own. It would be helpful but not OP by any means.
If it is a flying shield battery I got one word ,GHOST. I heard you like a flying shield battery so we got a flying shield battery to heal your flying shield battery while you heal the shields on your flying shield battery "oh wait" you cant you just got EMPed.
besides Shields heal themselves if it works like I imagine it it would work like EMP but instead of draining the shields. it would restore the shields instantly over the given area.
You'd need to have really terrible micro to get a quick flying unit that hangs behind your army EMP'd by Ghosts. If anything these units would be some sort of counter to Ghosts, and add another layer of micro on top of the sandwich that is Protoss deathball VS Terran bioball.
No offense, but if your Ghosts are doing badly in TvP, your micro is off. Ghosts counter pretty much everything P has. EMP range is longer than Feedback range, plus 1 EMP clears out multiple HT while you need several Feedbacks to get rid of a squad of Ghosts. As for blink Stalkers... cloak + get your army closer.
I agree. Also I hope that flying shield battery dont move slower than a reaver. but what ever the unit is I hope it is something new to the table. But what i can tell from general statements is that the majority want to see something brought back from the old Starcraft days weather it is the abilities or the unit of the arbiter, corsair, reaver or the shield battery.
The corsair looks close to the silhouette too. Nothing weve seen has an electric charge outside the unit. That is what is key to me. Well know soon enough
What I don't like is the fact they are taking out the Mothership and the Carrier. The Mothership I could give less of a care about, but I use Carriers almost religiously. Now the Protoss just got less fun for me :( I think I will use Zerg, seeing as how they get the red creep (carpet) treatment.
I have found carriers to be fairly useless. They are just too slow to kite properly. At least this way zerg will stop going mutalisk vs protoss. Oh wait, they dont... Why is this any better than the carrier?
On a side note, I thought motherships were actually a very good unit. While most people didn't use them, I feel like the teleporting skill was quite useful for base sniping and vortex was just horribly op in general (for positioning). Oh well.
I always use Carriers, and only the Mothership if I can help it. Unless the Mothership is with Artanis (like in the mission where you defend until every Protoss falls), in which case, I will use it. Vortex.... :P The Recall however, is very useful.
This is off-topic, but is it possible to make a map where you can control all 3 races?

I found a map like this on BNet once... It was basically a 1v1 melee map where each player had 3 bases, each being of a different race. It also worked with AI, but to be completely honest it was boring as hell... Even against insane comp, you'd win with just a massive amount of zealots with marines to back them up.
I have another question though, since Blizzard is planning to "cut" some units from the game, will we still be able to use these units and/or their models in our custom maps? I fear that if they remove them completely, we won't be able to play maps like Star Battle and such because the Carrier and Mothership won't exist anymore... Not that I care about Star Battle, but it's a good example in that case...

Not to worry, WoL assets will remain in WoL dependency which will be available to us.

Certainly. They don't even have a choice, they have to keep it, at the very least for the people playing WoL without HotS. Also they already said, all WoL maps will be compatible to HotS (but not necessarily the other way around, of course ;) )
@ZealNaga: Go I doubt they would remove any assets from the game, that would be just plain stupid. I also hope they don't simply replace models, leaving the WoL ones for us to use. As one example we could have the standard Hellion model and the new HoTS model.

Oh please not another Ghost counter. HT Feedback and blink Stalkers are hard enough to deal with, thank you.

@SolidSC: Go They most probably wont bring Arbiters back, since Motherships are nothing but fat bigger Arbiters.
@SoulFilcher: Go
Rest in peace Arbiter 1998-2010 you will be remembered by the one and only Mothership.
Maybe it is a Protoss Shuttle. It's the only thing that even looks close to the silhouette.

All Units! original! in pics and with descriptions!
Wow nice pics!!! Now we all know :)

First I thought it was Urun's phoenix with badass weapon. Guess weren't that far from real
