Yea, Map Night is gonna be tomorrow. Unless I have car accident or something. Altough, 1.) I dont have a car, 2.) Map Night can be done without me :p
If its only 3v3, its unlikely that we can manage to play it :( But if you want to, upload it. Whats the full name of the map?
Its perfectly fine if you have more people and want to play large player maps. My map doesnt really require testing since Iv been doing it with other people.
I only suggested it if you want to try something new :). But anyway Ill see if can get few changes tomorrow and upload it then. I will also post the name here when I upload it.
Will you guyz play this friday Banana Cheaters and Nexus Hindrance Wars? If yes, let me know, I want to watch :)
I think we'll try Nexus Hindrance Wars maybe Banana Cheaters don't know. Always depends on the player count and what people want to play and what map tests we're going to do...
Don't know if you'll be able to watch since I have no idea if someone with streaming capabilitys will be there.
Get yourself an EU account and join us :P

what about the wolfling stream channel? Let me know if someone will stream 'cause I want to watch.
And I guess I'll wait for Blizzard to link US and EU instead of buying another copy of SC. :P
Published my map for today. I prefer if you host it privately, since its not ready for bnet. It should work pretty well but It needs a bit more content for public audience :).
you can find it with name: Goku Mapnight
I might join in as well or might not. But ill probly remove the map tomorrow so now is your chance to play it! :D
If you dont know what map im talking about its this:
Wolf used to stream, just recently there's been stuff going on and he didnt have too much time to join map night, and now his headset is fried as well. Hobrow said Exaken/Action was going to stream today, so I hope that's true.
In any case, if there is a stream, it'll be on the frontpage (Easier now that I'm a mod)
Also, there is a possibility that i'll be late and I might have to leave halfway through for an hour or so and then I'll be back. In either case, I'm leaving Hobrow in charge while I'm not present (Not like there's much to do... Just listen/argue with him instead of opening 5 billion lobbies)
The bomberman game was awesome. I never thought bomberman could be so fun. The replay value might not be too high though, its a game what I would play every now and then.
Nexus hindarance wars...not my piece of cake. Didnt really find the crawlers useful at all, dunno if its just me? But I didnt like it
The zerg defence thingy was ok too...the reaper bug super anoying. Lasts too long and I wasnt big fan on 2 heroes. Mediocre map. Iv seen better defence maps.
edit* as for my map...It was probly the worst test we ever done. Changed few things and it wasnt so good...needs some balancing and it will most likely turn better :). Hopefully I can get testers in the future too.

Yeah the reaper bug sucked very hard, but I managed to find it's source and have already fixed it. For the game length it was mostly us failing. Since we lost the Com Array almost instantly and the Refinery wasn't defended that great either. Holding those two is quite important. If you don't the game will get longer and therefore harder. But I agree it's a bit too long and I just drecreased the needed time.
I don’t play DOTA type of maps cause they’re too competitive for me, but this is different. It got a very DBZ feeling to it. Awesome spells, simple mechanics. This map is about effects/explosions and being a kickass character fighting others like you in an intense showdown between 2 sides.
First impression: I tried to keep myself alive, didn’t risk until I got ahold of controls. Even when I died I didn’t feel disappointment. The eyecandy, the feeling of power.. I’d play it again. Only thing that bothered me that there were no range indicators on abilities. Would also be cool if heroes jumped towards ordered point instead of walking towards it and only jumping when they reach jump distance.
(But I don’t know how that would reflect on gameplay, I guess I’d need to play more games to get a feel of this game).
Nashs map:
Tint “ice crystal” (from freeze spell) to blue. Default crystals color just feels lazy.
If I remember correctly the only difference between arenas is their terrain and monster models.. I’m concerned that it could get too repetitive.
Perhaps add stage variety, turn stages into scenarios to give players something fresh? By scenarios I mean arenas with twists. Maybe one arena would simulate battlefield with 2 warring factions where players must aid losing side. Another arena scenario could be something like “breaking reality” where random places on arena would shatter and all units in them fall into oblivion. This would give players a chance to lure enemies into traps, and players themselves could fall victims to this anomaly if they weren’t careful enough.
Also this kind of setting could be glued together by a storyline, maybe something along the lines of “Awakened souls must relive events of the past in order to restore their strength and face new evil which threatens to destroy all kittens in the existence”
And the last thing maybe some indicator of your hero. Imagine if 10 players took same hero and are constantly moving together. Loosing yourself in the mob in the middle of the battle isn’t the best experience and should not occur.
Core Fight:
More than one round is too long, it means that loosing side will have to win 2 times, which would make game last for 3 rounds which is .. 80 minutes? I don’t mind playing this type of map for 25 minutes, maybe 30 if things got interesting, but more than that and I get strong desire to turn on AI and go afk.

It's a setting the host can set and normally we play only one round. But last time I asked TheAlmaity on vent to go for a best of 3 :D so I guess it's my fault :D
But what I realy would like to see is some kind of shop for the builders like in Castle Fight from WC3 when you can buy buffs for your units and abilitys for your worker.
Here are some examples from Castle Fight from WC3:
Aura with +attack speed for all your units
Aura with +attack damage for all your units
Stackable item that adds a ranged attack to your builder
Lightning Orb that lets you use a chain lighting at any enemy unit on the map, 60sec CD
Saw you guys playing Card Shuffle on the stream. It's pretty painful watching my map with those bugs coming up and it slowly falling to pieces lol around you. I haven't updated it in months. I kind of lost motivation, can't see there being much potential in how it was.
Reason I'm saying this, is if anyone has any ideas for a complete revamp/makeover going in a different direction. I'd be glad to hear it :)
Hey. I woke up and saw you guyz playing NHW. You guyz left like 20 seconds for deathmatch :P
And that deathmatch definitely was taking too long. So I updated the map:
Nexus Hindrance Wars was updated.
- Deathmatch now starts after 45 game minutes instead of 60 real minutes.
What Ahli said. 45 mins still seems too long to me; everybody had everything maxxed out by the 20 min mark or so, and by the 30 minute mark it was already just getting boring.

It's nexus wars after all. Getting boring is part of the game design.
I beginning to fall in love with this event, every game we played was enjoyable, it's like current maps system doesn't exist.
Diablo:
What I liked most was recreated Tristram with original soundtrack and voices.
Though I realize that it’s far from done, I’ll still say something about dungeon.
Cathedral doesn’t feel the same.
It might be inability to zoom that is causing everything to look small. It might be walls that just seem too thin. It might be the fact that I can see empty terrain behind walls which absolutely ruins dungeon immersion, it might be emptiness of rooms and lack of decorations(I did see corpses). Other things that bothered me was lack of spellcast animation and those things that connect levels, add text tags to them. Also, what’s with random immunities when one shot is immune’d but other is completely fine and kills monster?
And for my favourite part which is dialogs: red background symbolizes unability to equip/use item, there are plenty of border images that you can use for default background. Please, no more red, unless Character can’t equip item, then it’s fine.
Another good idea would be possibility to use/equip item on double click (especially for using potions from inventory).
Another idea: maybe you could show a new dialog near clicked item displaying picture of item and “Use/Drop” options for it. I don’t feel that reaching up high to top of menu to do stuff with item is right choice. As added bonus you could implement “Click outside of inventory to drop selected Item”.
But that’s .. yeah, graphical part which most ppl seem to do last.
War Pigs:
Simple enjoyable polished map, really liked it.
Malum Runia:
I really liked the atmosphere.. and quality, really cool stuff. I wish survivors had a leader which would band us together and tell us what to do. Cause without one we just waited to be killed. It was the same in “The Thing” in sc1, only there we would die in 10 minutes, while here the torment lasted for 40. If we play it again I’ll defiantely read everything, and hopefully won’t run into aliens.
Goku Firebat:
As always awesome and fun. You should nerf “TheWatcher” though, that hero is OP.
And maybe add more range indicators, all spells should have one (unless you have reasons).
Star Strikers:
Unexpectedly fun. Even though I was worst player of the game, which probably played a part in our teams defeat, I still had fun (after I changed hydra to DT, I prefer to be on defensive). Heh, I guess I’ll be better next time we play.

yes, everyone was maxed out, had 2k of both and I tried to assasinate anything with crawlers until psi storms killed my crawlers...

Lol.
The fact is, if the deathmatch takes less than 45 min, the map can NEVER be popular.
Deathmatch in Nexus Wars takes 50 minutes.
