since 1.4 I can not test my map with the editor or on battle.net. I always get this message in the moment the loading screen should appear:
.
That error message is just wrong. I tested several video card drivers from nvidia(actual,beta,archived) and I can run every game and map. I reinstalled the drivers and also repaired SC2 and later reinstalled it.
Every map with Bel'Shir just run fine except my map does not work! Probably it is the same issue some guys had with loading the map GSL Bel'Shir Beach.
Does anybody know if that got fixed and when how?
I would appreciate any hint.
Yeah weird. Did you heard the start of the voice and then crash?
I got no time to try to fix it. My other maps seems to be fine but one has original and imported song playing at the sametime.
My loading screen is .tga BUT one of my imported images are .dds file but when I select it in imported files the editor itself crashes so I'm pretty sure that is the problem D:
Ok the problem is custom .dds files.
If someone has imported .dds files you can delete/convert your images when saving the map as components and keeping the editor open and when done save back to sc2map and selecting images again from the triggers, data etc.
If the loading screen image is .dds file it will crash at the loading screen or if it's somewhere else it will crash when game is showing the image.
Ookey seems like only one is somehow broken by patch. There is 2 music LostViking (I want that only to be heard) and also a original sc2 music or something like that playing on the background what was not before patch. Weird :(
Yeah everything worked before patch but now I got 2 sounds playing background (Not solved) and .dds images making crash (Solved) .
I think strongly that the failer is ... blizzard! I don't know about the aplha channels but I think I have heard not :(

@lom4R:
I have it on my Baneling Run! on bnet (EU) but my game still starts but then crashes.
I have custom loading screen :/
@ BloodClud
Just tested your map and I get the exact same error like you.
There is something wrong with 1.4...

@ BloodClud
Yes I heared some sound starting and it immediatley crashed.
I changed my loadscreen background and it seems to work again. (weird)
Yeah!
edit: have converted the loading screen picture from .dds to .tga - the .dds type caused the error

What are you using to make/ convert your DDS files?
I am wondering if the Nvidia DDS plugin for Photoshop is causing the errors with 1.4 or if all DDS files are.
@VoidPotato:
Irfanview. Just open .dds and save as .tga <3 easy :) Not sure does you need to download .dds plugin to irfanview or does it have it already.
Irfanview doesn't need a plugin to convert to TGA, not sure about it saving to DDS though.
In any case, its good to see that you managed to figure the problem out. Good luck with the rest of your map(s)!

So saving them as TGA works? I think some are having issues on my map as well.

Yup problem probably imported .dds files.
What a pain, they worked before so I wonder what they did to break it. Blizzard or driver issue?
Does TGA have alpha channel?

Hmm... most of my images were done in Gimp, only a couple in photoshop.
The problem is it works fine on my video card, so I have no way to test it.
I made a bug post on it so feel free to reply to it there http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/3280528780
I am am using several custom dds files without issue. i am how ever not using a custom loading screen could this be the issue?
@KratsAU: Go
Hmm weird that you don't got the crash? Maybe try my map here that got the crash -> http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/baneling-run-by-feral/ Not updated yet.

I had TGA loading screen and one dds picture and when pictured showed up it crashed. I don't know? Someone should try it.
@KratsAU: Go
Omg -.-
Page doesn't allow me to reply sorry: ''You need a StarCraft II character (created in-game) to post on the forums.'' DO NOT I HAVE ONE?!
Edit: I'm logged in and I do have Starcraft 2...
