I ain't a Blizzard fanboy mate, I was also one of the most outspoken critics of the Battle net system in the early days, I then very quickly figured out that crying and bitching ain't gonna solve anything and through watching the actions and specific consequences of Rodrigo and Mephs in the Battle.net forums, I very quickly learnt to STFU and keep my head down, concentrating on my work rather than getting involved in politics.
You kind sir, are kind of missing the point, and by your previous comment you have indeed clarified my position above you. There should not be a single argument in any of my posts because I am not debating anything that was said, I was merely commenting upon the subject at hand. Although I indeed said that Blizzard will fix most things in time, I also said that Blizzard takes forever and a day to fix things, which, when put together, could lead a person of higher intelligence to figure out that some things will never be fixed.
I for one have no alligence to any company, and never even played Sc1, I grew up on other RTS games simply because Blizzard did not have a following in Australia, there were no fanboys, in fact gaming in Australia never really took off until Pokemon put it literally into the hands of the masses. The majority of kids would spend their days playing Magic the Gathering rather than behind a computer, I guess I was a pioneer in that regards, 1990 Commander Keen represent! And if indeed your only comment was to say I sound like a fanboy ... lawl ... facepalm at your fail.
FYI, Blizzard didn't make any money from Dota ... 30+ million dota players, like 11 million copies of Frozen Throne sold? You do the maths.
Blizzard got in contact with Icefrog numerous times, they bent over backwards to help him with Dota; this much is common knowledge. All the changes in the later years, from 05 onwards, were because of Dota. Increases in scripting size, memory allocation and map size limits were increased _because_ of Dota. Access to Tables were given to map makers because Icefrog asked Blizzard for it and they built it in, before this he was running an immense amount of arrays which were a huge mess because Wc3 had no struct/records available.

I'm with Dogmai's camp. Blizzard obviously learned from Dota, the entire popularity system is catered so people only play mega maps. If a mega-map like Dota do arrive, no doubt blizzard will do whatever they can to make that mega-map a success. Increase script size, map size, whatever.

as said before...you just dont get it...creating dota did not affect custom game system/bnet AT ALL....so where you come up with this shit?
