Hmm... nice to see Blizzard take a step back like this, a little too nice actually.
If I was a little bit more paranoid I'd think they only acted this whole thing to make the community believe they actually care.
Okay, first of all, if they got T-bagged, it was obviously by Chuck Norris.
And second of all, your sig is wrong, see he's smoking cigars, not cigarettes.
I don't think this happened because Blizzard fought Activision's decision of adding Real Id.
In fact I think the stupid idea of having Real Id required came from Blizzard only.
Activision probably won't have much interest in the specifics of Blizzard's game making as long as the game is out on day x and brings in enough revenue. Some Blizz official also stated that they develop their stuff themselves and that Activision doesn't have anything to say.
Yes OP... this did this so they could look like they actually care, it's why they put their representatives on the line with it and allowed them to get harassed to the point where Bashiok had to disconnect his phone line.
That implies that Blizzard somehow lost in this. They were doing this because they thought it would benefit us and improve their forums, they learned otherwise, and everyone won despite no changes. :/
Though yes it wasn't like they were fighting Activision, but to a lot of people it is a sign that they haven't completely changed with the merge.
Maybe it was to benefit us, or they wanted a universal system because of Korea (korean government requires real ID on sites with over 100,000 visitors). Either way, I'm very happy I'll be able to get my Onetwo name for forum posting :D:D
Let's hope I can get Onetwo.212 in release!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't think so :(

Anyway,
Blizzard - 1 Activision - 0
If anyone needs lottery tickets call me, I can hook you up with some sweet predictions.
Anyway, its nice to have a company like blizzard that hasn't sold their soul to making money.

Cigarettes sound better, imo.
I think it would be more like:
Blizzard 0 : Community 1

This is good. We are like animals, and blizzard is feeding us.
Good move. Until we rage again.
