It seems Starcraft 2 has been hacked already. You can now host a Battle.net server. Now it's just a matter of time until someone improves this system and make people get an alert message every time a group of people hosts your favorite unpopular map. Or maybe someone will use this to make a new private Battle.net that sorts map by how long the host is waiting in lobby (wc3 style). Hopefully now Blizzard will stop ignoring the map making community.
edit: I bet there's no WASD lag for those Lan games.

Let's hope. If this LAN software becomes popular enough I'm sure Blizz will add in their own LAN system for fear of losing too many players.
they allow discussion of it. but no links.
there has already been a huge thread about it about a month ago. this version looks identical to the version the thread was about.
your abit slow rodrigo =\
What Maverck said. Everything can and will be hacked eventually. I'm sure something like this was discovered months ago - I'm guessing it was really only known by people in the right circles up 'til now.
As for my opinion on the matter - I'm not touching LAN-in-SC2 with a 10 ft pole if I had one. I am curious as to whether there's ASDW lag in there, though.
Wouldn't the same restrictions still be applied to us? The delay or whatever, isn't it present even when tested off line? It's just more obvious online due to bnet lag.
The WASD Battle.Net delay also isnt exclusive to the WASD systems. Its pretty much present (and noticable) in any map where you need to click stuff really fast and your reaction needs to be great.
If none of you have seen this post on the official community site by now:

It'll prob be deleted come morning, but we'll see.

This is way too complicated for the average person.
For now, yes. Until someone makes an installer that does everything for you.
I would jizz to a custom b.net 2.0 UI tailored to our needs, and then laugh at how much better it is than the official stuff by Blizz.
Damn. TeamLiquid has such a strong censorship. No freedom of information there. They just deleted my thread like 30 seconds after I opened it.
They don't allow hacked Sc2/programs that go against EULA.
It's their good right.

No, there's no delay when we test offline with the map editor.

This thread violates curse gaming and blizzards policies btw...
just a heads up...
I wish someone made Iccup 2.0, Blizzard would pull their heads out of their asses with some competition.
Competition they can legally shut down? ;)
So... Blizzard said that we wouldn't have LAN to avoid piracy. Since the lack of LAN is now just bringing more piracy, what's their argument now?
