Did this happen to anyone else? My monitor broke yesterday and i switched to a new monitor today only to realize that a desktop folder disappeared. That included some maps and important files. I went to search under C: but its not listed there.
The simplest solution is to open a folder that's currently on your desktop, [Alt]+[Up Arrow] to the desktop folder, and type the name of the folder you're looking for.
If that doesn't work, most likely you deleted it somehow
Yeah off-course :D. I looked under "recent files" ( to make sure im not crazy and i made this folder up in my mind) they are there but when opened i get the message above.
No one was on pc and i didn't touch them ;( This situation is very peculiar.

Did you search through your program files and or account/documents folders?
because sometimes random things end up in those folders for me.
Yeah i did that as well. Searched even the hard drives where it shouldn't be. Its really a shame was a lot of work in these files... down the drain :(
That sucks :/
I'm not a system restore expert (even though i've done it a few times) could you try doing a system restore, maybe? not sure if that would work (I sometimes get old files back and sometimes don't)

I can find it under C and search but than its says: The item "Editor" that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved.
I know u get this when u move the folder or delete it... but i didnt :( Could be some virus or a bug.
you check your recycle bin?
Still alive and kicking, just busy.
