Im not one with many words but with so much Warcraft going on I think is time it gets it own FORUM and see if the front page can be change from those "Current events" those very old treads from as far back 2012 2013 and last one EU Map Night #72 Jun 27, 2014 at 18:02014. So old no wander new comers think this site is DEAD! If that is the first thing they read. So please move or make a forum just for WARCRAFT.
As far as I'm aware, Curse has absolute control over the site and it's pretty much just by virtue of kindness that sc2mapster.com is even up. Changes to the site have been off the table for years.
Really? Hah, I never noticed. I stand corrected. I'd love to see that "competitions" box updated. It's been like that for years.
I assume you refer to the events box on the front page? I remember a thread a long while ago about how they can't change it due to the coding behind it and if they try to change it, it screws up everything.
Trying to compete with Warcraft III stuff is stupid. The game is dying slowly as is (traffic dropping year on year) and Hive Workshop pretty much dominates the scene. Any Warcraft III related questions will get posted over there and the section will be almost entirely dead here.
On the other hand SC2 mapster pretty much dominates the SC2 scene (Hive Workshop has very low SC2 traffic and a lot of people there dislike SC2). Having a forum for using WC3 assets in SC2 (be it questions of how to port some mechanic or show off your Warcraft SC2 creations) would probably be beneficial and could help encourage people to give up on WC3 in favour of SC2.

I think this sub-forum would mainly be about the wc3 mod/assets for starcraft 2. Not the entire game. It would still be a SC2 thing.

They can definitely add sun forums, they did when the CE came out, they recently added the audio category too, and even the blizzard heroes.
