Instead of a usual mapper quest, tonight we'll have a man who goes by the nick of 'Icebane'. His field of interest is map promotion - a lot of projects these simply do not get finished, and the top of the popularity list has a lot of maps that arent considered 'good' by most mappers. Why is this? And more importantly, how do we prevent this?
Tune in tonight to get a whiff of the guy as we discuss cancelling projects, map promoting and everything that belongs in those categories.
This sounds like a good topic that i am going through. 9/10 people that have played my latest map love it and continue to play it, problem is that only about 20-30 people have actually played it and i've done as much advertising as i can.
Our standard airtime is 9 PM GMT+1. MST is GMT-7. Which means 9 - 8 = 1 PM MST. So yes, I did it wrong in the OP. EST is GMT-5, which means 9 - 6 = 3 PM there.
Or in a more orderly fashion:
-GMT starting time: 8 PM.
-CET starting time: 9 PM.
-MST starting time: 1 PM.
-EST starting time: 3 PM.
The "from this post" should be correct for everyone, though; the post was made an hour ago, at 18:00 my time. Since we start at 21:00 my time, that's 3 more hours from the post. I'm thinking you calculated with my 2 PM MST time, which was off and should've been 1 PM.
Map looks good but seems to lack a USP compared to other first/third person arena pvp maps. Also what is your distribution (is it on eu or other regions).

What is a USP? Its on US atm, hope to get it on EU soon.
Unique Selling Point, it is an economics term for products, it basicly
means what makes yours different and unique from the competition.
Well i think the overall game mechanics are unique. You take away from the enemy teams Victory Points by capturing control points and/or getting killstreaks. For example, say you have a killstreak of 3, that means the next person you kill gets -3 for their team and so on. If you get 5 killstreak you become marked to the enemy as a high priority target and they will know your exact location until you're killed :). Plus there are a buttload of classes and a few vehicles aswell.

To watch, go to the link at: http://www.livestream.com/sc2streamster when it's almost time to go on the air (9PM CET, 1PM MST).
NOOOO. It's so interesting...but I'm going to see harry potter at the same time! Well harry potter gets priority, there's a recording of this :D
Good luck guys.
Which one of the Harry Potters? Also can you blame the failure of a map on terrain alone?

Here is the map btw :)
@Bounty_98: Go
I confirm, the map is good.
@grenegg: Go
I confirm, I cannot get any kills in the map. Bounty is OP.
We still won! :)

Er, MST is 2 hours behind EST, so the show will start at 4pm EST? That would be 4 hours from the original post, not 3. Now I'm all confused :(
It starts in 2 hours and 9 mins from this post :) Just stick to the "In x hours from now" if the other times are confusing

I'll update the main post.
Alright, thanks for the correction. I guess I'd better tune in now after stirring up all that trouble :)

So do any other maps have capture the flag or bonuses for kill streaks?
