Sorry if this is off-topic but I am trying to publish to SEA. I bought an SEA account, downloaded SEA installer on my Mac, and can connect to SEA or NA no problem in the game client. My problem is that I can only publish to NA locale in the Editor. Blizzard refuses to give me any support on this...can anyone tell me how I can enable publishing to SEA within my Editor on a Mac? Thanks!
If you have two different installations of Starcraft 2, you might be using the NA editor in which case you should be able to publish on the SEA server.
I was able to set Oceanic in Preferences > Battle.net. However, I can't seem to get the Locale dropdown in the Publish window to display this option...it always just says English (US) <enUS>. I've tried logging in, logging out, restarting, etc. Any ideas on what I am missing? Thanks!
my friend and i had this problem, i havent tried this but he said to go to the battle.net site and log into the NA server on there or the NA site, so when you log into your acdcount in the editor it should work, let me stress that i have not tried this, so please tell me if it works :)
Its a bloody registry change ... go make a reg file so you can 1 click update the registry.
HKEY_USERS\xxx\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Editor\Preferences
Singapore = Physical location of SEA server
"BattleNetHost"="sg.logon.battle.net"
"BattleNetHost"="us.logon.battle.net"
"BattleNetHost"="eu.logon.battle.net"
Only works for the editor, don't try be a smart ass and change it for the game, won't work.
And yeah, I figured this out myself, no one told me how. Its how I quickly upload to all servers.
Which registry key do you log these in? I can't seem to find the BattleNetHost key in that registry folder, unless of course its hidden. No idea how to make it visible if such.
If you have the disk space, just install all the clients for any region on your local machine (make sure you install in different directories or they will obviously overwrite each other). I have SEA, NA, and EU all running on the same machine and I can publish to all 3 regions by running the 3 separate Editor programs. You can also use the SEA client to connect to NA region, so I end up having 5 shortcuts on my desktop: NA Editor, EU Editor, SEA Editor, SEA/NA Client, EU Client. I had to purchase accounts for all these regions but now I can publish and play on any region from one machine without registry hacks.
I do in fact have a SEA/NA account. Would this allow me to publish to NA? (Assuming I install the NA editor.) The registry hack method of course is preferred if anyone could help me get it working, as it wouldn't require me to download and install the NA client (running out of disk space).
PS: I currently don't have a job yet, so buying multiple accounts isn't an option. My HDD is also running out of space so I don't think I have disk space to spare either.
Although the SEA/NA client can connect to both regions, you still need valid accounts on both. So, unfortunately, you can't publish on NA until you purchase an account or find someone else to publish your maps.
Aw dang.. Wonder what the current market price is for an NA account. The SEA acc already set me back about 250 of my currency (Ringgit). Regardless, thanks for the info jcraigk

I don't have multiple installs on the machine in question - just a single SEA install.

It looks like that worked...although the Locale said enUS, it does appear to have published to SEA. Strange...thanks for your help!

Does it work when you doesn't have respective account? Can I change registry this way and upload to US having just EU acc?
No, you still need to login, all it does is change the server that the login request is sent to.
