Hello mapster community. I have started a dialog that works like this: you click on a button called alliances which then opens a box which gives you options of different alliances. I am trying to do when you click on a button eg the permanent alliance button that it brings up another dialog which has all of the players names as seperate dialogs which you then click on one of them and an alliance message comes through on the other players screen and then that player accepts or declines it which mutually gives them both shared vision and alliances for the whole game? is this possible? (this also has to be possible with about 8 players using it as well not just player 1)
Yes, it is all possible and fairly simple. Although I wouldn't suggest the method you proposed, as it would cause potential spam to the other player. You'd have to work around knowing that fact.
I saw your code earlier and it's not coded for multiple players - you have to start using variable arrays if you want to code for multiple players. I suggest looking over a tutorial thread if you are unfamiliar with variable arrays.
what u mean i cant do multiplayer on that?
Could you please explain or attach a link to a tutorial about it? And the message would be sent once until its ignored but i see what you mean.. How would you propose to do it?
It won't work multiplayer because you're creating a dialog just for one player. You need to make a local variable, then make a loop from 1 - <max players>. Then you need to set the last created dialog to a dialog ARRAY. This will create a dialog for every player, and they will all be unique.
