Im trying to get artifact display different animations, but I cannot figure out what to do to change different stand animation.
In previewer the model has many different variations, but the names doesnt seem any different? Why does it be so effing hard....
pls help :<
Here is the picture of two different animations, but no idea how to do the first one....It normally just diplays the second animation (from the picture) when I use stand animation.
Would be nice if you could tell me how to do this with actors and triggers...
Not sure what you are asking. Just have a trigger for "Play animation 1" and then when the next trigger wants the next animation to play, have that trigger play animation 2.
I don't know though. I haven't messed with animations. Maybe I should.
Looking at the Civilian/Colonist actor events, it seems that you can change animations by giving the unit a behavior and using an event to apply the animation group. For example, the civilian normally walks. In the actor's Events, there's two that look like:
Behavior.Run.On
AnimGroupApply Fast
Behavior.Run.Off
AnimGroupRemove Fast
What that means is if you either start the unit with the Civilian - Run ("Civilian -" is just the editor prefix, it isn't there when looking for it in an event response, which is confusing) or add the Civilian - Run behavior with a trigger, the unit will use the run animation instead of walk. The problem with that is when adding this behavior to a non-duplicated actor instead of using a dupe, it lets you pick from all possible animation groups from some core definition (I think), meaning you'd have to use trial and error to find which one is the one you want. (Unless it gives you the actual group name somewhere in the previewer?)
