Is it possible to have a unit be to fast to be detected by the unit enters region trigger? Because thats what seems to be happening in my tests... anyway to fix this?
I did do that and it triggered. The thing is i dont understand how unit speed prevents this all mighty editor from detecting when the unit enters a region?
the region check event like everything probably runs to check every X seconds or somin. or maybe the units move x units per x seconds, and if the x units is too large, it will simply surpass over the region.
Some regions are small, some are huge... the speed is around 75-100, they are projectiles. What i've noticed is the unit/projectiles dont seem to trigger if fired from a certain distance... but if they are not fired in that "dead zone" they trigger...
Theres a flag on the unit you can turn on and off to make it so the units creates the Enter/Leave evets.
More then likely you have this shut off.
Sorry for resurrecting a thread, but what is this flag that determines if a unit triggers the Enter/Leave event? In my map, I have created multiple custom heroes, however, one specific hero will not trigger a "unit enters region event" and it appears that all the Unit flags are the same as the heroes who will trigger the event.
Well, never mind. This appears to be simply an issue with unit radius. I still would like to know what this flag is, should I want to use it in the future.

Set the units speed to be lower and test it. If it detects, then it's the speed. If not, then there's another reason.

it also can be that your region is a very small one. so the unit jumps over it and the event will not triggered. try to make the region a bit bigger

i dnno, what wud i know, im retarded :D

What flag would that be? And how would that explain if when i slow the unit down it triggers....

ah well It doesnt explain why it works if you lower the speed.... It wouldnt if it was turned off.
Which tells me your using a very small region.... What is the size of your region and what is the speed of your unit.?

Just wondering.... Why are you trying to detect missiles entering a region? There may be a better suited Event.
From the sounds of it your region is very small. And the speed of the unit is causing the unit to skip over the region.

What is this for? Collision detection or wall bouncing?
