There are some functions like this one. But they don't work over Battle.net. You can simulate it by replacing some textures of the map and creating regions over it and setting the playable area and camera bounds to that region.

You can't change maps on battle.net, but the triggers for it exist (So it works if a player downloads the map and launches it without entering sc2 (Either by dragging the icon onto the sc2 icon or by launching it through the editor)). If you're thinking about using two smaller maps that could fit into a single 256x256 map, you can do what he suggested.
Can you use 2 maps in a game? Like if the player enters some area, he will be transported to another map or something.
