My current map is a 3v3 tower defense/attack game, where players get to take direct control of the towers, customise their own spawn waves, and cast spells to aid in the push.
The players have no direct control over their camera: it generally shows the whole field. The player can choose to zoom to a area to build a tower by clicking on a pedestal, and it zooms them to third person for that area facing the lane (Via cameras). My question is, is there an easier way to zoom to this area by clicking it that what I'm doing.
ATM I spawn an invisible unit whenever a player clicks, uses a unit enters/exits region to check where they clicked, zooms to the respective camera, and applies a kill behaviour to the unit. Is there a simpler way to do this, IE a trigger that triggers when a player clicks a region?
You might be able to accomplish this effect with out regions at all .... if you just move the camera to the point clicked.... also you can then check the distance of units to the clicked point to determine your zoom level

Put a mouse click event, and then check if the point is within any of your regions using the Point is in Region condition.

Thank you two, Scorp's idea was what I was looking for, but I'll keep SouL's in mind also.
