I was REALLY hoping someone knows how to make caves. I am not talking about doodads for the ceiling or arches, but legit walking under the map caves. Even terrain textures that you look up and see on the roof. I do not care if units are able to travel across the top however. If this gets into 3DS MAX then forget it. I would rather drive a car or own a gaming laptop than make this.
Apparantly he used 3ds max, I saw a couple of posts. Too bad how the software costs 5k :( Well if I don't make a TPS and make it a no fly zone it would work just fine also I guess.
You could take one of the flatter rock doodads.... scale it so its X and Y size are huge and lift it off the terrain a bit.... there you go .... cave ceiling...

i remember in this first wow map there was a cave. maybe u should ask him

I believe that it was just a doodad roof on a part of the map that was partitioned off

I guess I can make the cave entirely out of raised rock doodads but I was hoping I could make it a simpler way.
Simple is less optical good ... replace the Skybox Texture with rock, giant cavern done.
