1. There's a print of a ground under the bridge - the question is: is it possible to remove it? I want to create two asteroids connected with a power bridge. Nothing else. Don't want to see the ground under of bridge.
2. Mayby more important - why the bridge decoration dissapeared in the gameplay? My zealot is standing in the air!
Thanks for every reply. I'm really pissed of with it. :( Waiting for any answer. :)
I'd have to take a look in the editor to give you a correct answer, but for now is it possible to remove the terrain cells beneath the bridge?
Edit: Nevermind, this didn't work. Didn't realize it was a terrain object at first.
Also, the light bridge is peculiar because it is set to off as default. I think you have to go into the data editor to change it to on, but I could be wrong here.
I know of another way to make bridges work by making a structure and setting them up with their own footprint. Ill try it out and see if it works.
Well - it's impossible to remove cells beneath the bridge. :( I tested it before I create this thread. :\ "is set to off as default" - I don't know english very well - could you explain step by step? :) What I should check and where in the data - in the bridge's model? Or actor? Or mayby somewhere else? I'll try it. :)
Yeah, I figured that you had already attempted that but never hurts to mention it.
The light bridge has an on and off setting where on is visible and off is not. Off is the default setting. I've been able to create a structure bridge that is pathable, however I am still having the problem of the light bridge being invisible.
Good news and bad news, the bridge is visible and working. Bad news is unless I can find the proper height for it, it wont work with the space background.
No worries, it's not as simple as I first thought. I think at this point though, you will need to speak with an experienced data editor to set up a working bridge.
Arh it has been half a year since I touched the editor, but if you are using the unit bridge which I think you are.
make a trigger for it that lowers unit height with about 10 or 20 I honestly can't remember, since the bridge is actually flowing so high in the air in the game that you cannot see it. That was deff my problem when I used a "unit" type bridge, but it was easily corrected :)
Well, i'm using decoration bridge on the terrain object. Not a unit. :( Also try at the moment manipulating with the height of an actor of the bridge but it seems that the bridge is on the correct height (if I a little "jump" it higher and play the game the unit when walking through it in the air - because it's still invisible - is jumping a little at the start to reach the bridge :) = so I think the physics is correct)
Well in that case make a unit bridge, you need campaign dependencies obviously, but it does the same it just need some height adjustment and it snaps in with any of the lightbridge terrain objects, so from what I can see it was deff made for this.
just enable campaign dependencies and go into units and search for light, or bridge or whatever. Looks the same anyway :)
Well, I tried it but it doesn't work. First of all it can't rotate as a unit. Second - I don't see the model of actor of my unit even in editor - why. I'm not sure. :\

Another time there's problem with the bridge. Now it's a little curious. :( I've got two problems:

We've got something like this. In the game it's looks like:

So we can see that:

Don't want to see the ground under of bridge. 2. Mayby more important - why the bridge decoration dissapeared in the gameplay? My zealot is standing in the air!

Well, sorry I'm such a lazy, but still can't find where this setting of visibility is. :\
