From what I see, the editor only allows for a set number of terrians once you select the apporiate theme terrian for your map. I was wondering for example if I could have like Xil's sand terrian and char's lava terrian in the same map or do I need to import them from a different or is there some option I am missing.
If you go to the data editor, find 'Terrain Texture Sets' and then scroll all the way down, you can replace texture tiles there. A max of 8, this way you can use 8 tiles from any terrain set you want.
I did manage to change it, but first it didn't seems to register that I had changed so restated the editor and it came up, problem now is that I just can't place it unless I take some other texture then replace that one with the new one I want. Problem with that one is it replace every texture on the map with that one.
Did I miss something or is the editor being a bit messy with me?
You can only have max 8 tiles in the map at any time, if you replace for example Bel'shir Light Grass with Bel'Shir Dark Grass, then all light grass currently in the map will turn to dark grass because you cannot add more than 8 different tiles (I know it sucks but you just have to deal with it).
The easiest way is to go to Map (top of the editor) then Map Textures, then modify the tiles by clicking modify. After you changed the tiles, go back to the Map Textures and then click on the squares on the right to replace the old ones with the new ones. That way you don't have to reboot the editor and I don't know if it causes side-effects if you do not do it the way I describe here. The editor can be buggy sometimes.
Well I did read about the 8 limit part so first I went through Modules>Data and found the terrain texture sets and changed one of those files. It made the texture replace the icon of one of the tiles but didn't do anything.
The second thing you told, by going to Map> Map textures and find the replacement fixed for me. Needed this part to make the change I believe. Well thanks, Ulnar tileset doesn't have that many tiles useful for some areas.
