After the christmas and new years' buzz, it's time to get back to work, and I've got a WTE for you guys to get right back into it. Remember WTE #92, where we created a Lava Arena for a map by Fulla? Well, he's contacted me again, and this time he's looking for a terrain for another map I felt interesting: "Fulla's Trivial Pursuit". The man has made a map of the famous board game and based the questions on the categories of Esports, StarCraft Storyline, the Arcade, Melee maps and Blizzard trivia. Following up on this set-up, he's going to need a really original terrain to make his new map work. The only requirement is that the places a player can move to remain visible and colour-coded. Aside from that, anything goes, as long as it's cool.
Attached below is the map for you guys to work on, plus a screenshot of what it looks like right now, and another one describing how the colours correspond to the questions. The map is playable (though there is no winning condition) for any one of you who would like to have a taste of what it'll be like in-game.
Wonder what you guys will make of this one... Good luck!
No1 has posted yet, lack of interest or hard at work I wonder :) Thought I'd provide some more inspiration and motivation.
Here's some pics of the UI Giz has made and the variety of questions you'll be up against. They're quite easy but there will be a Hardcore mode where things get alot harder!
You can also see you can pick a Hero at the start as you go round, and gather Energy inbetween questions you can use your ability to gain an advantage where needed.
Also added some pics of actual Trivial Pursuit boardgame, to see what it could potentially look like.
Lastly there's one in game, here you can see clearly the biggest thing lacking is an awesome terrain.
Thanks Moz for doing this, I hope people feel inclined to give it a go. Good luck everyone!
Just use the Shape models turned into doodads, squashed flat and retextured/team colour tinted. Would look better than those random squares of terrain.
Also my player following doodad system might make for some good statues to brighten up the pool.

Here's something if you're still looking for help. Not perfect, but you can do more on it of course. I hope you like it.
Amazing stuff, thank you :)

Any time.
