Thanks for that, personally i thought it was really worth revisiting the map after i had slept on the case a little, as i started on the map it was around 2 or 3 in the morning and i just mixed it together there and then, and some right pointers from Mozared gave me some motivation to get back there and do things.
So basically what i did was:
Shift-click in dodads where they normally dont want to place themselves, as shift+click forces the unit/dodad to stick where you want it ( done with the eggs to make them cluster and with several of the vines around the picture )
Change the egg size from 0.7 to 1.0 and the ultralisk size to 2
and as a finishing thouch make the terrain a little more "bumpy" and change the lightning to a more volcanic red.
Edit: added another try as a "Lion King" reference where i just tested a little more on water falls and stuff
aHmmm you might want to add some characters in their :)
maybe some scientists? Also i like the idea, but give it more of a Security place, cause i dont get the feel that im there, if you know what i mean, cause something that big of a Ultralisk would require alot of guards.
I was trying to go for the lone scientist thing, but i know what you mean. Either way i can't use any human scientist model, thier all super tiny compared to computers and such and as i said, it has been impossible for me to make hanson or any other unit bigger.

Hmmmm, true, well maybe take it from a different view with a dark fog and lightning and some watch towers around the base :) who give it a secruity feel.

Hmmmm this map does have potential, maybe try taking it from a different angle, (as if you were walking along it) maybe add some fog and lightning again, cause these really do help to terrains :) they spoof it up to make it have potential.
Currently i have no idea how to actually preview the weather effects before you actually test the map, as in the editor they are the "weather symbol"
But i have done a few tweaks...

Hmm i am liking the idea of which you have created :)
but still try and learn how to create and show lightning through the editor,
Also add some fog doodads, also in the doodads section is some fog objects :)
I would also recommend setting it to Campaign mode, so that the resources for your terrain varies.
Well, currently the screenshots are taken with medium quality settings, for your pleasure only i set everything to ultra and show both of them with highest map setting ( ingame it wont allow that, but when you are trying to kill something graphics is your least worry ) //

They are getting alot better:)
Still you need to take pictures in Galaxy Editor (or are you)
And take the picturse on the floor, gives it more of an effect, If you look back at my post first page. :D
Hi.. second post and love this idea. :) i had to do something.. i now its not very good and amatureish..but we all start someplace right? my take on this was well.. you don't need a castle... but does not mean you want to be king also.

Hmmm i couldn't really see much from that picture, but all i can is that its a spam of Zerg buildings? am i right
maybe add some terrain variations and more doodads, add some decay (Gray Fog) and dead units,
Hmmmm as i have said to DracoKnight, do not take a picture from up above, take the picture in editor, on the ground to add a feeling to the viewer that they are there :D

well, theres 2 ways of showing off their work here:
1: Show it as a piece of art
2: Show it as a Map
Currently i preferder to actually show off the terrain around to get tips on how to improve, the camera angle is more or less useless if i cant even make a map properly. Also for us "less experienced" its kinda hard finding out how to actually view the weather effects in the editor as they show as small icons on the map... and you have yet to tell us how since you suggest it!
as for Sdmaze: as from the standpoint of the picture you could be very well a overmind overlooking his swarm roaming over the battlefield, the fires kinda add the extra action to it. so not bad, pretty good actually.
i did a few other shots added more took away less added hight and did more terrain. The previous shot was in the editor and do understand the ground lvl shot but i can't get a great angle from the ground so I added the map if you want to looks at it yourself...be warned it can lag ya :p
saldy can't find a lighting i like :/ and would love to be able to make it rain :(
I like it! I like the concept and idea of it. The reflections in the foreground work out great.
The light from the fires isn't really cast on anything and seems isolated though... One other piece of constructive criticism; the ultralisk may need to move slightly more out of the fog. Not much, but enough to maybe see the head crest more visibly. Since it is in the background and is off-center the viewer's eyes aren't drawn toward it as strongly as the crystals or the fires; all three of which are in contention for the viewer's notice. Play with some of the lighting features and doodads to see if you can't silhouette the ultralisk more in the fog perhaps...
Just some thoughts. Hope they help. Thumbs up though! I'm a fan! :D

Hmmmm thanks :) Your a fan of my work?
Anyways, yeaa i put WIP,i need to add a different view, my idea was to add a crashing spaceship, and maybe add flames so the flames spit across and widen the cave a little :)

A lot of great work here! The thumbs of DracoKnight's work made me think there was a giant rock golem in the pic. :D
I thought i would repost this due to no negatives/positives agaisn't it.
