This week an idea by Scrinking; Remake. The theme this week is simple; remake any kind of terrain from a different game. Whether you want to recreate a planet from Mass Effect or a world from Mario, it's up to you. Bring out the nostalgia hats, people!
Um.... When you have only played Starcraft, Warcraft and WoW, even if you know some other game like DoW, AoE, AoM, CS, GW, GoW, etc....
Oh wait, I just got an idea :D This might be funny.
Edit: My idea is more complicated than what I though. There is not the kind of doodad I would like to have... For the moment i'll stop now before I really give up xD
This WTE inspire me a little bit less than the precedent...
I think there's room for improvement, but it definitely feels Barrens-like. Try making the terrain more 'flowing' instead of 'bordering' everything off. Then again, it really looks like WIP.
Don't sell yourself short Nebuli. I kind of like most of your stuff, but your Optimus Prime robot was just downright awesome. You've got a pretty cool style, I reckon that for half of your terrains 30 minutes more work from the moment you post your picture could bump you right up to that category of ludicrous terrainers.
Hey again guys, so here's my try-hard attempt at making a frozen bridge from Halo: Combat Evolved found during the Assault on the Control Room campaign level.
The nostalgia note made me think of back in the day when Halo came out, and this was the first thing that popped into my mind. I also added a photo on the left for a reference:
@F0xtail: Go That's pretty interesting, though I'd say that you should probably cover the cliffs entirely with Rock Giants, and maybe add some vines. I know it wouldn't be entirely accurate, but it would look cooler. Also, do I detect custom models? :P

5 second wte, pretty much a clone of cnc3 with sc2 (and also you can't play the map)
Hmm... I'm working on a Skyrim-like terrain :D
It's coming along quite epicly.
@Nebuli2: Go
thief you stole my idea before I had it
@ScrinKing: Go
It's funny how close that is =P
Here's a screenshot of my still unfinished Skyrim-inspired terrain.
... I really need a better camera angle. I spent around 2 hours making mountains in the background and you can't see them :(
Making medieval terrains in SC2 is actually easier than I'd expected lol.
Maybe I'll make something from... I'll just
-clone- remake a mission from CNC3.@Nebuli2: Go
Very good start Nebuli... It's amazing how many good workless terrainers hang around here!

Working on projects:
Recreating the Barrens feel from Warcraft 3 in sc2.
This is an actual map project for a Cortex Roleplay map.

The center of the map will be more open... I have this strange habit of either watering or cliffing the edges of the map to make it closed in.
@Mozared: Go
Myself not included :D

I actually meant that I wasn't workless lol.
@Nebuli2: Go
I thought that's what you meant. ;)
In that case I take back my post and you suck balls =P

@yukaboy: Go Of course you'd know ;)

One more thing: add grey fog.
F0xtail, how did you do those energy beams? Makes me want to go play Halo again... damn not having it anymore!
