I'm creating a sort of Invasion map and the spot where the base is that the enemy will have to kill, is very slow FPS wise. The base is located in a city so I assumed all my lighting and doodads were too much for my computer to handle and deleted a good amount of them. Nothing has changed. And I remember being able to zoom about the map a few days ago. Not sure what changed or why its so slow FPS wise. Anyone have suggestions?
Edit: Its only in the middle of the map. A few frames from the center and I'm back at like 60 FPS.
No I have no water. Here's the map. The problem is when the camera is where the bio dome is. Also this is the only way I know how to get a picture of the map. I'm using Windows on a Mac so I dont know how to print screen. If you can see the in picture another problem just occured. As I just opened the map a handful of doodads are now not loading. Such as corpses and sandbags...why?
I think zelda means a screenshot in the moment of lag. Without anything like unit numbers or angle of camera (which is very important to avoid lags) we can only guess what could be wrong.
Ok..but how do I take that picture? I explained above why I dont have a print screen key and that I dont know the command to manually do it. Google isnt helping.
Well I got an In-game screenshot. Still can't get an overview in the editor. I found on google that Print screen is control alt minus sign but its not working for me.
As for your actual problem... I'm a bit flustered? There's no water, no excess amount of doodads, no real elevation... basically not a single indicator of something that could even cause some lag. Are you using a data edited reaper? Might that be the problem, that you're hovering over him? Otherwise, do you perhaps have a small pit of *really* low elevation somewhere in the center of the screen hidden behind a corner?
We're talking about consistant FPS drops in that area, even after being in the map for a minute or such? This isn't just your triggers loading 10 seconds after you enter the map?

Lol thats good cause I dont have F13 on my keyboard. I haven't touched the Data or Triggers yet. I wanted to make the map first. I dont have anything of really low elevation but there is one thing thats weird on my map. Right outside the city on the left side is a black square....like a hole. I have no idea how it got there, I think it might have gotten there from me messing with the Terrain Objects but I was able to delete it once but now its back. Even so...this hole is not in the city where the FPS goes to 0. Literally, Zero. Not just a minute afterwards, consistent.
If you havent done anything but terrain, make a new map and copy everything over except the middle area. And re-do that part. It might just be some weird bug.

Copy your terrain and paste it in the new map. It's an editor glitch, and it's unrepairable atm. There must be some terrain objects that are also duplicating (every time you make a save, it should dupe). Black hole is the Hide Terrain using. If you unhide it, it will reappear when terrain is somehow modified. Had this already, so just recopy it to your new map.

You can change your keybindings for SC2. Just go ingame and go for options -> keybindings -> UI -> take screenshot.

Anyone?
Apparently the key is F13 on Mac OS X.
