you are watching your terrain from the top. go to view and change the camera to gameplay view
I know I am watching it from the top. It is just to show you that big pixelated circle that has too much light in it. How can I remove it from my map? It moves with the camera. If I remove Void (Campaign) dependency it'll go away. Also, updated image so that you will be able to spot it.
Try creating a camera and messing with the settings. SCBroodSC2 fixed a problem like this for me by having me create a custom camera with a really high shadow clip value.

This bug has been around since patch 3.0. Steps to reproduce:
1. Start the editor.
2. Make a new map with Void (Campaign) dependency
3. Enjoy
Seriously though what the hell is this (look at terrain): And more importantly, how can I fix it? So annoying...

Any clues on what's causing this? Is it a bug?
I presume so. The Mac editor has been super buggy since 3.0.
The Mac editor has been super buggy, period. I had to stop using it like a day after I installed SC on my Mac... in 2010.
