First of all, i dunno if im allowed to do this, but oh well, Its a community forum.. Its an idea i had..
THE IMAGE
Welcome to, The Image. Basically, Every who wants to try it can try it. I set an Image within the Editor (Attached to Post) which is a small basic terrain piece. What you do, is download the map, terrain it, and post a screenshot of it on here. Then we will vote on who's is the best!
RULES
The rules are simple..
The terrain piece that's already there Cannot be altered, except for Textures, and maybe a small Modification.
You MUST post a screenshot.
OPTIONALLY you can post the map, for others to look into detail of what you have created.
You CANNOT move the camera to a better spot, The camera stays where it is.
Now, for the Image...
THE IMAGE
I look forward to seeing other peoples Ideas put into this.. Also, the map is located at the bottom.
Doesn't weekly terrain exercises do this from time to time? I think I've seen two like it. One was bridge the gap or something, where he gave you an area where you could put a bridge and people got really creative.
It is similar, except you have to take a shot from the same angle each time so you basically get variations of the same area.. depending on people's imagination with terrain.
Hm, wow... seems like no-one really took to this idea. That sucks. Guess they just weren't that inspired, but oh well. This sounded like a fun challenge. I had to give it a shot. So, after much thought and messing around, I finally came up with something!
Here's my attempt, which is an ancient alien/Protoss/Xel'Naga ruin or somesuch that's been overrun by Zerg. It's kind of a lighting experiment. :]
[P.S.: I didn't change the terrain at all... just the tileset + textures + lighting. The hill may be covered, but it's still there!]

No offence, but seems youre very limiting to what is expected.
In fact make a map without screen ,that better ^^
Basically what he wants you to do is put things around it, make the terrain that's there blend into a real terrain and see who got the best shot.

@Keyeszx: Go

And then, you can see the whole creativity of the community. What you'll get in return is quite a good result.
So is anyone actually doing this at all or not?.. Just wondering.
