I have started playing around with sc2 galaxy editor and I have got problem to solve. First of all I would like to be able to create buildings in an designated regions. I was looking into behaviours and find out about PowerSource but it's just an object and don't say anything to me. I can't really say much more because I use polish editor and it's difficult for me to translate my every step.
If you want all players to be restricted to one area, you could use the No Building tool in pathing to surround areas you don't want buildings made, otherwise I'm not sure.
you could use the same method Maul2 mentioned and put a region over each area and triggers basically saying if any unit enters the region that isnt owned by the player who is suppose to be able to play there the move the unit to the region where that player is suppose to be. simple really.
Well, it's certainly solvable with triggers, i.e. remove a building constructed by a player in a region he shouldn't be building in. However, I'm sure you want a Data editor solution rather than triggers (so would I).
Something might be doable if you use the different unused collision flags, or maybe something with different footprints.. I'm not sure.
Perfect solution would be that when player want to build building, allowed area would be displayed (something like radius of pylon). I was trying to trace how it's done with creep but it looks like there are many things hidden from the user.

Nope, I want set region for building for specific player. It can't be that hard...

But everyone should be able to walk in that area but only one player can build something there (and only there).
