I want the fog of war to reappear after the unit has past the point so its like it was never explored. The reason I'm want this is because my units have very low sight radius and I'm using floodlights with reveal region triggers to provide the majority of sight on the map. I like how dark the fog of war looks and if I have units running around they leave little trails of explored areas where the fog of war is gone.
I also need to reveal the regions to 8 or 12 players.
That means upwards of 150 regions x 8 or 12 = number of triggers needed.
Is there a way to get around doing all those triggers. There has to be a way to get all the players (except enemy computer) included into one trigger for each region.
Try going into the data editor and select the "Fog of War Data" dropdown. It lets you change the color of the fog of war. You might be able to make it look identical to the black mask.
use explore/unexplore in the visiblity section of actions
Visibility - Change visibility for player 1 to Unexplored within (Entire map) and Do Not check cliff level
EDIT1::I'm finding that this causes the re-unexploring jerky. no matter how low I set the timer it always seems to re-unexplore only every half second or so.
EDIT2::changed it so it only does a small area. I think rehidding the whole map was making it laggy. changed it to this: Visibility - Change visibility for player 1 to Unexplored within (Region((Position of Private [99.96, 91.64]), 5.0)) and Do Not check cliff level
Another thing im thinking about is to make the map very dark with low specular and bumping up the emissive multiplier and setting the entire map to explored
still need help with this

I don't what to change how it looks, I like that. I just want to make it so it wont go away.
use periodic event every .01 seconds game seconds
Timer - Every 0.01 seconds of Game Time
