I am trying to make a jet pack skill with the reapers, I can't seem to get them to actually go over cliffs, I know i am messing with the correct stuff because my game now freezes whenever I try to fly over a cliff ^^
I made one that makes them float, There skill wil just make them go to the cliff and land on it ( I want them to become pretty much air units when they lift off over the cliffs level )
ITs easy (Jet pack like in halo reach! Like as you fly in the air, But when I try to go over anything other then normal ground level my unit wont do… )
( you hold space and you go up, you let go and float back down. I am just trying to make it so I can go over cliffs once he reaches the correct height ) Pretty much what the reaper does but just so he can fly over it and then land on it if they decide .
I'm still not entirely sure what you're trying to do, but regardless from what i've seen cliff pathing is a bit touchy feely.
It's essentially comprised of movers with special pathing modes (see Cliff Jumpers or Scaler), then a special "jump" behavior to specify animation related events, along with jump positional data, i've messed with this minorly and concluded that it's very anal retentive about how it handles all these scenarios.. so trying to make a custom jet pack system based on reaper may give you a headache.
You may be better off just morphing the unit from a ground moving unit to a flier one using the reaper jump animation to elude the transition, but I don't even want to start explaining how to do this. XD

Please!! I can manage to get the units to get stuck in cliffs now but that is it!
