I gave the powerup a weapon that had Heroic marked as required in its target filters, and the weapon effect was a set that applied the powerup behavior to the target and then suicided the powerup.
I think you need to trigger the power up to be picked up when "stepped" on, probably using,
"Unit - Any Unit enters distance of X from Unit."
As for the buff itself, create an "Apply Behaviour" effect that applies a buff for what ever time you need. There's a tutorial on effects and abilities on Mapster I think, should be able to find one.
I want a power up that is picked up when a units "steps" on it.
Like when any hero walks over/in range of the powerup its supposed to be activated, there are many heroes and many powerups in random location.
I tried to use an If that loops through the heroes and the points of the powerups and check if the distance between any of them is less than 0.5
But that didn't work.
And I can't use the Unit enters distance of point because the points are variables....
Anyone has any clue how to do this?

Im a bit noobish with the data editor but i'll give it a try.
Edit: I couldn't figure out how to make all the effects.. Can some one make a demo or some thing?
The powerup is supposed to increase the speed for like 10 sec or something...

Looking at the Sentry's Guardian Shield ability should give you some insight on how to do this.
