hey, got a little tipsy and decided to play with a vision cone system. my previous (or current... haha) map got messed up with that last patch and its frustrating fixing it being it was perfectly done and now its a POS. well, heres a vision cone thing i threw together for shiesters n GRINS!!!!
As I did on Corpses you can just create a revealer and move it in front of your unit every ms
To make a cone you need to use more revealers with different sizes depending on the distance from the unit.

looks like nice use of the flash light stuff
my guess is he has the lighting on the map turned down so its not very bright.
Then the unit has a scaled up flash like on him ... I mean it has the same effect and shape as the flash light its just much larger.

Hmmm he is hiding the units when they are not in the cone.
My guess is hes manually setting the area that the "unit" has vision of.
Generally its a circle around the unit. I havent touched on that at all.
I can think of a really complicated way to make all the units hide themself if they arnt in a certain location related to the unit and its facing.
But my guess about the units being hiden is that you can some how manually set the vision area of a specific unit.
