Im trying to reveal a part of the map but i dont want it to be a full circle or square. Is there a way to make it so it is cone shaped? Using multiple regions to reveal will be a pain because it will constantly change based on where a unit is. Any suggestions on how to go about doing this?
There may be another way, but the only way I can think of would be to add multiple shapes to the same region, which you can do by simply pushing R while on the terrain editor, and then double clicking the name of the region you want to add shapes to. Its kind of a pain, since you have to do it with coordinates(Guess and check :/) but once you get used to it, it works quite well.
And from experience with the multi-shaped regions and revealers, they do show only whats under the region, even if it has a strange jut or something.
For the second part, simply attatch your region to the unit you're following. There's an action called "Attach Region to Unit". The region will follow the unit wherever it goes...

You can just draw out several regions visually, hit numpad 0 to combine them into one shape. And already placed shapes can also be edited visually.
