For the past year I've been using XSI and Maya for rotation of models. Is there anyway to have xsi/maya rotation for doodads and units in the editor? Or is the numbepad stuff the best you can do. I noticed you can go to the properties of a doodad and change rotation there, but there is no ineditor preview of that.
@Br0dy: Go
umm i belive there is a preview of doodads where you select them on the left and right click and hit watch in previewer. you can also see all of its animation phases there
That shows me what it will look like rotated, but sadly it won't allow me to rotate objects a few degrees at a time to get things precise... I suppose I'm looking for something that looks like this:
It allows you to rotate something, scale, move, etc.
The easiest way to rotate is to select a model, hold down CRTL and click somewhere. The model will face the direction of the mouse.
You can only rotate it 2-dimensionally, though. For more you'd have to use rotation actors.

I apologize if this has been asked before.
Thanks!

This helped a lot, thanks :)
