just wanted to ask if there is already a way of publishing a map to different regions. I know there are already a lot of threads about this problem, but these threads seem to be very old (most from 2010).
I made an assault-based mod (about 3 years now in the making, first with the Warcraft III World Editor, but now converted to GE) and as I have an EU client only I wonder how I could publish it also to the US Servers.
1. You need an US account to publish with or someone who trusts you and grants you access to his account.
2. Edit/Add a registry path to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Editor\Preferences]:
"BattleNetHost" = "eu.logon.battle.net" for EU,
"us.logon.battle.net" for NA, etc...
You can write simple registry files that changes these keys accordingly. You might want to change "BattleNetCharacterProfile" and "BattleNetAccount", too.
This is how I do it atm.
OR
1. Get a slave publisher.
2. Mail him the map to publish.
A friend has a copy of sc2, also EU though. He gave me his account so I can test my map for multiplayer.
Is it possible to change the region of his account so I can publish the map via his account on another region ?

Wait, does that work? I've been using two clients all this time.
Blizzard announced that HotS will have global play, so hopefully we'll be able to publish maps in any region without having to buy 3 copies of the game.

Hi,

Any suggestions ?
Thanks a lot in advance ! :)

@Oneiros333: Go
No. Using your friends account would be the exactly same scenario as with your own.
Don't forget that all the text in your map will turn into "Param/value/4238fash" if you don't localize it first.
