Goal: to have a persistent bleed effect attached to a unit who has a certain behavior activated.
Right now, I have the behavior setup so that a periodic dummy effect happens every 1 second the behavior is activated on a unit. I would like to attach the zergling death model to happen eachtime the effect triggers (hence the bleeding visual effect every second). I'm familiar with working with actors and adding events to produce effects. But it seems the zergling death is not an actor it's a model. I'm unsure how to use the model setup can someone please assist me in this and how to set it up?
Model, fx or anything, you would have to use events anyway
Event -
Effect
Source Name: BleedEffect (Not the persistent behavior but the effect that is periodically affecting the unit)
Start
Term -
Create
Event -
Effect
Source Name: BleedEffect (Not the persistent behavior but the effect that is periodically affecting the unit)
Stop
Term -
Destroy
I've already done this exact thing to the zergling actor (which is the only actor attached to the zergling death model. I'm assuming when you say "Bleedeffect" that it refers to my dummy effect since there is no "bleed effect" option for source name. Anyways I did it and it doesn't work. I need to know what actor I tie this too since there only seems to be a "zergling actor" and not a zergling death actor
If there is no Actor then create a bleed effect Actor that is linked to the model and edit the events and do what was said above.
just created a new actor called "bleedeffect" set it to unit type. set the model to zergling death. went into event and did exactly like zifoon said above and nothing... I still don't believe I'm dealing with the right actor

then post the map. Something must be wrong.
@zifoon: Go
Just got it to work needed to scale it up since the blood splat is so low
