As much as I'm overjoyed with the editor updates (new models, primarily) I'm having a lot of issues since the transition, primarily things like models not loading, or settings not registering properly (hidden weapons not being hidden, units displaying behaviors they don't have anymore). I'm wondering if this is just me, or if other people are having these issues as well.
They also seem to have changed the ID of most of the unit weapons/missiles, so if you had edited the blizzard's base weapons like I did, expect to have to redo the entire process. Yay.
I'm having pretty much the same problem as everyone here, leaderboard and screenbutton border/image is missing, some weapon IDs were changed. They added a cost data for units now... before the cost used to be inside the ability that made units, but not it is in the unit itself as well as the ability which screws up the costs of units.
This is an absolute nightmare. Default dialog background images seem to change based on race (rendering my custom protoss ones obsolete and forcing me to redo placement of all my buttons), one of my movers had to be redone, my Uberlisk model is completely ruined, multiple images no longer work, multiple attacks no longer work (mostly where I was lazy and just used the default Blizzard stuff as placeholders, but still), setting a background dialog image is giving me trouble, and... god, I hope that's it.
1. Some images have been removed, thus custom UI using dialog and image background goes kaput.
2. Something has changed with unit training and stuff. Even if costs were 0, the game wont allow training/warping.
3. Actor Events+ changes.
4. Camera depth of field have changed. It's now impossible to have DoF while allowing the skybox to be rendered in detail.
The new Unit Manipulates Item event also does not seem to be working.
Btw, is EVERYONE also having leaderboard/screen button issues? Or just the ones who edited the default Game UI data?
Everyone is having leaderboard and screen button issues. Although for screen button you can easily fix it by assigning a border image using triggers... for leaderboard there's nothing that we can do. They broke some other stuff aswell, i notice some triggers that were working fine before are causing a ton of errors now...
While I can understand problems caused by Blizzard changing unit data (it is probably a bad practice to edit base units, I know I certainly won't do it again), some of these issues are just ridiculous. I have one unit whose model just doesn't load in-game. Period. It loads in the editor just fine, but when I start up the game, the unit is invisible.
Yah i'm not even gonna open up the editor until the release now, thanks for posting all the possible issues!! I look forward to REDOING everything almost in my maps =,(

Ya i got problems with ability animations not working anymore... Also what i don't get is when you edit a native unit, it sorta creates a duplicate leaving the original one intact, so i don't understand why everytime they patch it affects the units that we modified (without duplicating). Plus how can they break some of the stuff that is so obvious? like the leaderboard for example... i mean you run anymap with a leaderboard and you'll see that it's broken; how could they have missed that...
By the way, is anyone able to publish? it seems like my editor can't login at the moment.
Although this seems bad, you don't necessarily have to give up. You are probably safe from most issues if you change most of what you've done to copies/duplicates of base units or make new units (hopefully launch doesn't create more issues like this). However, if your maps primarily use edited versions of Blizzard's base units, I can see why going back would be unappealing. :(

I wish I understood the problems better, but for now I think we're just going to have to try and fix whatever breaks and hope for the best.
Its a good thing in the past few months I didn't make anything, I was just experimenting and digging through ppl's stuffs. But all my experimentation maps behave weird now... For instance, my 3ps experimentation: The unit faces the camera yaw only when the unit is in the top half of the map, when it is not the unit does not face the camera yaw...

Yeah, I've had to replace a couple of icons. Tell me if you get your leaderboard figured out though, I'm hoping blizzard didn't patch in bugs.

That's primarily what I'm experiencing. Sad to hear you're having trouble, but I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Indeed, ProxyTooMuch...I spent all day carefully re-balancing the damage of all my units in my map, and it's all been wiped. lol.
