but still have units able to path around them as if you changed nothing? I've been playing with the radius', pathing footprints and collision flags of each race's static defenses so I can get them to be able to be stacked in game and so far I've either gotten it to work but units path right through the buildings, or I haven't gotten it to work. I need units to be able to path around them like normal...
This may seem lacking but try putting a region that restricts unit movement into that region. I will be able to look at the editor around 4am central time. I'll check back to see if got an answer.

Seems unnecessary. Last night I think I came close to finding out how to do this on my own. I can get units to be built with pathing so units have to go around them, and when they're being placed they have no pathing, but the problem now is that it's giving me a 'you cant place that there' error when I try to actually stack the units. If I just place them normally without stacking it's fine, but I want to be able to stack them. Anyone know something about this?
I don't remember how but i got it to stack here. Kinda weird tho
Tried everything I could see that you did and still nothing. Been trying to get this to work for about 4 days... you can't honestly tell me someone hasn't figured out a surefire way to do this by now with all of these TD's floating around.
Edit: Managed to get it working, but only for Protoss. I modified the 2x2 contour footprint so that the 'placement check' set had nothing checked in it's set, but apply was left alone. Then on the unit I wanted to stack I put the placement footprint as the contour and the pathing footprint as the normal 2x2 footprint. Works for both the pylon and photon cannon, but doesn't seem to work for the supply depot, missile turret, spine crawler or spore crawler... not sure why as all of those are 2x2 buildings.

Anyone care to shed some light on this for me?
This forum honestly does need more activity. Every (new) thread on the second page has 0 replies... help would be much appreciated.

Flags: Ignore Placement
Uh... doesn't exist? I'm either blind or looking in the wrong spot. (unit flags)
Footprints - > (Chosen Footprint) - > Layer = Placement Check -> Set = None
or
Footprints - > (Chosen Footprint ) - > Layer = Pathing - > Value = None
Still doesn't seem to be working o.o

I tried changing how the building constructs but I've had no luck with that...

If you are still looking for an answer, i found this to work 100% of the time:
Leave all footprint, radius, sep.Radius and flags settings alone (Set to what you want)
go to Movement - Collide and un-check everything there.
Units will treat the structure as if nothing was changed, but you will be able to infinitely stack the structure. Units WILL NOT walk through it.
