Okay so what i need to do is pretty simpol, I need to use triggers to make a unit display tint (0,255,0) or (0,0,255) depending on the instance But only for a spacific player. So while player 1 sees a unit as tinted blue, player 2 could see it as normal or tinted green and player could see a totally differant unit as green or blue while player 1 sees it as regular. any help would be appreciated
I have only been able to get tint to work using events and i couldnt see how it would at all be possible to make it so 2 players see 1 units as a different tint via triggers or events.
I'm not sure triggers can do that... I can't think of a good way of doing it. However I do know how to do it using data editor.
Actor- Filter Self (means everyone can see the actor/visual except for the owner of player)
Under Event
Event: Create
Term: Set tint color
Another actor
Actor- Filter Ally,Enemy,Neutral (means only you can see the actor/visual)
Under Event
Event: Create
Term: Set tint color
Could someone elaborate allitle more on how i could do this??? I am pretty clueless in the data editor...Could i use triggers to add and remove the actors i make? because differant units will constantly be changing colors for differant players? Mainly what i need to know is, How do i crate the tinting actors that make a unit tinted for only a spacific player then what trigger actions do i use to assign these actors then remove them?
You cant assign a different actor to to it in game like how you are asking.
Sure you can. You can add a (validator) term in events and have like 1000 actors on a unit and disable 999 of them then enable them/disable when you need them. You can have as much actors on a unit as you want.
There is also a convenient option of who can see the actor (self, enemy, ally, neutral)

If you are unfamiliar with the data editor, now is a good time to experiment and learn.
I PMed you but
It will be albeit tricky to make it for only one player. The method I showed you makes it so that enemy players or a different set of alliance is able to see it. So what you can do is, attach a (unselectable, no vision, uncommandable) dummy unit for a specific player. Add actor to that dummy unit that has a filter Enemy, Neutral and Ally so that only one player can see it.

And so on... For each player
