how would make a unit "spell immune".. meaning if the unit is spell immune you cant target it with any spells.
So far the only thing that sort of works, is to create a damage response buff, that reduces spell damage by 100%. However that is crappy , cause if a unit is spell imune, the pursuer should not be wasting energy juice on a target that wont take damage . Also this does nothing to stop "stuns" .
, I tried looking around at the effect "modifiy unit" to see if i can make an attribute change upon cast so that the unit becomes "pysonic" , but i could not fine where to change a unit attribute like that. Any help? if that method works, i could just make spells that are target-able be prevented by excluding psyonic
You could have the behavior make the unit invulnerable, and make sure all of your abilities have Invulnerable marked as Excluded in their target filters.
making unit invulnerable would be very bad idea, as it has some implications like normal attacks won't be able to hit it, it hides hp/armor i think etc.
I'd go with making buff behavior that does nothing and give it to spell immune unit, create validator that compares number of behavior on target == 0, and add this validator to all abilities said unit is supposed to be immune from.
thanks uiasdnmb , your method seems like the only way it can be done properly, However it required way too much work. so i didnt bother with it anymore. Thanks again
Simple answer is look at the kerrigan damage reduction behaviour. Set all spell damage to 0 and have a periodic effect that removes all unwanted buffs. Even in WC3 spell immunity allowed positive buffs.
