I still think hacking/stealing maps isn`t really a problem. While the latest change still does not make it hack proof, I do believe people aren`t too interested in map stealing. How often do you see it happen to locked Maps on B.net?. Ive only ever seen duplicates of maps that were stolen, because either they were hosted on a website and/or on B.net but not locked.
The popularity system is the biggest problem and cause of worry:/

Today I published the new version of Crush Company and when I tried to open the map file inside my b.net cache I found this error:
Unable to load file (Core: file not found): ComponentList.SC2Components
I suppose it works only on new published maps and it should be easy to hack but at least it protects the map from noobs opening it :D
Can you test this too plz? :D
Isn't this how map locking always worked?
Only for triggers, you could still have opened the map to watch data and terrain

Yeah I read about that somewhere. That file is indeed removed upon locking a map.
I think that's quite easy to rebuild.
Mine contains that:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="us-ascii"?>
<Components>
<DataComponent Type="text" Locale="enGB">GameText</DataComponent>
<DataComponent Type="info">DocumentInfo</DataComponent>
<DataComponent Type="mapi">MapInfo</DataComponent>
<DataComponent Type="trig">Triggers</DataComponent>
<DataComponent Type="terr">t3Terrain.xml</DataComponent>
<DataComponent Type="plob">Objects</DataComponent>
<DataComponent Type="gada">GameData</DataComponent>
<DataComponent Type="regi">Regions</DataComponent>
<DataComponent Type="attr">Attributes</DataComponent>
</Components>
Edit:
Yep, I added back the file and the map could be opened again.
