I downloaded a map here to play with my friend but I can't figure out how? I don't want to publish it because it's not mine but I want to play it with my friend. How can I do that?
If you just want to play it with a friend and can't find it in the list, publish it as private, then only you will see it, and you can host it for your friend. However, don't publish it public nor claim it as your own
Yup, poluarity is irritating. Say host game, then in the search box, look for the map you want to play. Worst case, you upload it as a private map, saying CLEARLY in the description its not yours, and then remove it from b net when you are done. Ridiculous, I know. We all hope blizzard changes this.

What list? If you click join a custom game it only shows the popular games?
