So for some reason my latest Planetary Boss map has come under a very critical and wierd error. It gives an error for motion/movement controls saying there are to many threads. Now the thing is i have used these controls for 8 months or so and this has never happend, any ideas?
Having the same issue. Did you by any chance recently create a game varient to distribute multiple players into teams? I think that may have something to do with it, Starcraft thinks there are more players in the game than there are and maybe firing off more triggers than it should, could be wrong though.
It would be hard to tell the issues without an accurate changelog to look at.
If it was working before and isn't now, it would be helpful to know what other systems you have added to your map between then and now.
Thread errors obviously means that you are hitting a limit, without seeing what new stuff is creating threads, it is hard to tell where the error lies.
It didn't seem to occur because of a large spamming of the offending triggers (the key inputs) but rather over time. Soak testing the map with 3 or 1 player always broke at about the same time, and spamming buttons or not pressing any buttons at all seemed to have little affect on the issue.
I've recently reduced the number of players to 6 and i'm currently doing a soak test (left it running for a while) and still no issue. Fingers crossed its been about 15 minutes now and no freeze.
I am also interested in how you solve this problem if you solve it, aswell as thousands of other mappers so please report in if you get any results! :)
