when i do this, it gets rid of all of the title and headings and stuff when you move and replace the triggers from one file to another?
I get how t osave but trhe copy trigger data then start the map is confusing me. I think i get it but its not giving me all that i want... Please help!!
Well, me and my friend have already started the map but we just need to finish some stuff off, so its not possible for me to work on triggers ( he do nothing about them) and he work on data terrain and i just copy paster triggers to his file? wouild that work i ve tried this b4 nd it left out title and stuff

HEy epic mapster peoples. I was wondering if it was possible to creatre a map while 2 people are wotrking on it simultaneously?
if they are working on different parts, its easy. save the map as component and copy the data/trigger files from one map to the other
As component?? and how do you copy whole data and trigger filers??

My suggestion:
I recommend Dropbox for keeping all your files synched up. Alternatively, you can create a project here on sc2mapster and upload your map files.
It is impossible for 2 or more people to work on the same file at the same time.
I havent tested it but it should work, get a svn server or some other version system.
Then use a mpq editor open up your map and extract it into the svn repository and commit..
this way you wont overwrite the other person's changes.... it might be a bit more work but i think it would be worth it..
