I am attempting to create a spell that causes target area on the ground to ONLY block enemy units, meaning that they can not enter that area. However, friendly units can. In a sense, it is like a Force Field that only blocks enemy units.
I have experimented with footprints, collisions on units, and knockback-effects, but I find no solution that is satisfying. Every solution has its issues and flaws. For instance, when using a knockback-effect linked to a search area effect linked to a persistent effect, enemy melee units act very strange when they constantly try to attack move into the area but are knocked back.
I remember people talking on SC2mapster about how to copy the gates from heroes of the storm... but not sure were that topic is. I think they possibly copied the galaxy script for it from heroes.

Do both sides use the same units?
If different the Unit: Collide field could be used to make orthogonal pathing blocker units.
There is no clean way to change the Avoid mover used for individual units.
Contribute to the wiki (Wiki button at top of page) Considered easy altering of the unit textures?
