Normally, your units will attack enemy units who comes within range. I try to make a unit that is only attacked by the enemy if they click to attack it.
Just like a Changeling works. You can have a disguised changeling among the enemy units and they won´t auto attack it. I have tried to recreate the abilities & behavior of the changeling and apply it to a new unit. But it won´t work. The unit will still be auto-attacked.
I know that you don´t like when people ask nooby questions all the time. But you don´t have to answear threads where you think the question is a stupid question, like in this case.
Yes, I do check the wiki and read tutorials, but I missed this one. (Otherwise I would ask twice as many questions.) I did not even know the word "benign" existed, so it was hard to know what to search for. Is it a flag, a behaviour, an effect or something else that causes the Changeling to behave like it do? I had no idea and I did not find it in the editor either. And the wiki is a wall of text that is kinda hard to find stuff in, if you are a slow reader, like me : /
It is a flag in the Behavior - Modification - State Flags field. The reason your seach failed is the field only shows which integers are enabled/disabled so it looks like (enabled|enabled|disabled......).

Anyone knows how this can be done?

Enable the unit's "benign" flag.

Yup, that is correct.
although you could have just read the wiki page on buffs

I shall not question the expanse of your diction.
