I'm wanting to add this passive effect (Enables the Goliath to target air and ground units simultaneously)
to a unit and have been browsing through the actual upgrade in the data section. I'm confused about what actually (I believe, in the weapons options) makes this happen. Can anyone assist?
Well i know their is an upgrade, but the upgrade just changes certain properties i looked at what it changes but i get lost at that point (the whole upgrade section is out of my league). I wanted to make it base, from the start
All the upgrade does is affect if the weapon is hidden or not. The Multi-Lock Targeting weapon lacks the Only Fire At Attack Target and the Only Fire While Attacking flags which allows it to shoot while attacking another target simialar to the diamond back except that has an alteration to the Weapon - Allowed Movement field.
It is actually the MultilockTargetingSystems (Unnamed) buff behavior that enables and disables the different weapons. This behaviour is disabled unless the requirement is met that the tech is researched.
eeeum.. I'm not very good with the editor and i belive SuperEvil's method is better but you might get the effect by removing "Linked cooldown" for both weapons might not be what you are looking for but it's an easy solution

not 100% , but i think you need to add a second weapon with a requirement for an upgrade to allow to use both weapons ( air+grown) not sure doh.

to make 2 waepons shoot at the same time u need to change the backswing the dmgoint and the random delay
allso u need to change the flags to be search continius and disable all others on the weapon that will befiring on second
