Doodads have a field that sets the height of the vision block while units have a field called vision height which determines how high they can look over.

My trouble was that after update our locale of the editor got very jammed, it's almost impossible to find anything without experience.
Grats with 7k posts, btw!
What, wait... That's not working! What da hell could i do wrong???
Maybe the units still need the "uses line of sight" unit flag checked for this to work, air units probably don't have it by default.
Be cool if this works though, I think i needed it too for something.
And if we're discussing this anyway, i also need an idea of doing aerial passage blockers. I know we have the no-fly-zones, but would be good to do this via footprints.
I tried. This just refuses to work. I need a mutalisk (vision height 4) not able to see through a wall. I change vision block level of the wall's footprint to 5. And nothing changes. Idk, maybe i somehow jammed some settings...
In the Data editor go to the unit you wish to modify, set it to "Table View" (Ctrl+1).
Look for "Stats: Vision Height" or just put in "height" in the search box, for an aerial unit the standard is most of the times 4 while for a ground unit (ex. zealot) the standard is 0.
I modified the pathing and Sight blocker doodad on a new map.
The field is called Art: Occlusion Height (in the actor) and it worked....
maybe you have done something else...
ps: even the description of the field says exactly what you want....
For me it doesn't work.
I changed the Occlusion Height to 100 for "Curtain (LOS BLOCKER) - Space Platform".
Placed them on the map and moved around vikings in fighter mode, they could see through it.
What i noticed:
If i define the unit's vision height 3, it sees over any doodad, without noticing that it has higher blocking value. If i define it 2, it doesn't.

Hope you got the point.

Nop, i've got it checked...

Like I said for vision and pathing blockers for air you need doodads.

@user_874412:
Nop. I've tried this already, isn't working.
Should i just wipe out all flying units from my map then?
Guys, that's really weird. I created a new map, altered only the vision blocking height of the doodad... And this doesn't work! Wtf?
You know, I want to look into this but I can't find the doodad vision blocking height, where is this field?
@zorbotron:
In the doodad's actor. Not sure how it's called in ur locale.
May i bump already?
@FunBotan: Go

Blizzard :D
@zorbotron:
And what now? This destroys the whole balance on my new map(((
