Hello I'm rather new to the Sc2 map editor. I was a pro with the wc3 editor but the data editor perplexes me on this editor.
I've been trying to duplicate units. But when I do so the model isn't duplicating as well. How do I make the model duplicate as well? I know that I used to be able to do this and it just suddenly stopped.
Also I would like to know how to take my own model that I made and put it onto the unit of my choice. If for example I did not have a model on a unit. I tried this approach to fix the problem but it's not working either. Your help is appreciated.
Units are the workings with the game while the actor is the eye candy. The actor is linked to the unit via events. With duping sometimes an extra number is added to the id causing bugs (happens alot with Action type actors).

So then to resolve the issue I need to go back and change the ID of the original actor after duping? So for example if the ID of the scv was duped. Then the actor may have changed to scvcopy1 upon duping? Or some other random number?
Sorry I would check myself but I'm downloading sc2 on my laptop right now :/
Issue is that is your dupe known as SCV2blah ot SCVblah2. Sometimes the editor does weird things with the default id values. Like I said the Action type actors are notorious for having dupe problems.

@seanybabyx2: Go
You should duplicate the actor part as well as the unit, that should fix your first problem.
