Hi!
Sorry if the title was confusing, it is a little hard to explain in such short a text span. Well I have a jungle map and I have placed the doodad 'vines' across my map and then I played the WoL campaign again and realized the doodad on the bel'shir map have a different model! I then tested this creating 2 basic maps I with haven tileset (The tileset I used in my map) and one with the bel'shir one, and yes there is a difference,
Haven: brownish color with jagged leaf shape.
Bel'shir: light green with tear drop leaf shape.
I then tried to swap the texture sets of my map to see if they would work, it does not work.
So does anyone know how I can change the 'vines' doodad from the haven variant to the Bel'shir variant? This doodad also has 7 variations.
If anyone helps I will 'like' the comment.

Stranded on Krydon Renewed- A renewed version of Stranded on Krydon that is being constantly updated, has improved visuals, is more friendly to new players, lots more fun tweaks and much more planned to come.
Actually some models used by doodads and ground cover do paint themselves with the terrain texture (the temple stairs being a good example). The Actor: Texture Sets field of the Doodad actor determines this.

Here is a good example someone pointed out when I was making the WoL doodads for my "All doodads" project... (5 years ago lolz..). There is a real difference in the texture on the doodad itself based on the texture set.
Well thank you for showing that I am right but does anyone know how to make it so the doodads think I am using the bel'shir texture set? I tried swapping the texture sets, but that did not work.

Ok thanks! I will try that soon and this one looks promising. Also does it work in the new versions and dependencies? I have not checked yet but if you know it still works that would be helpful.

I just tried it and it did not work, I think this was because there was nothing in the 'Texture applied groups' was empty, same for the rocks too, so it probally would of worked on an older version, can you figure out another way to do this? You or anyone?

I figured it out! I did DrSuperEvil's suggestion and it worked, only when I restarted the map. I then had a look in the data info for anything that is called 'Haven' to indicate which texture set it was, and then i found it! under: (Basic) Texture Prop there was 'haven' changed it to bel'shir restarted the map and it worked! So I opened my real map (I was using a test version) inputed the bel'shir into the (Basic) Texture Prop, restarted the map and it worked!

This has to do with the lighting.
You can chose which lighning to use, both with triggers and in the data editor (under the texture you're using).

I haven't check all the doodads to know if there are many differences...
Anyway good luck finding what you want.

Always thought having only one texture set under that field made it default to it.
