I've made a duplicate of the photon cannon. weapon and all. changed weapon to be able to attack hidden. changed range to 48.
But when playing, the cannon AI only attack anything in the 8 range.....any reason why? If i'm controlling the cannon I can attack up to 48. but the AI won't
Does the owning player have vision of it's targets? Did you use a global reveal trigger, have the AI have observers all over the map, or increase the photon cannon's sight range to 48?
Yup you guys are right my bad. just tested it with the enemy having an observer. AI shot. anyway I can increase the range of the cannon sight farther then 32? or something similar

Nope still not wokring =[
I just tested and it works.
I guess the AI doesn't have vision of the units. Therefore it can't attack the units.
Also, I'm not sure which sense it makes to be able to shot at "hidden" units.
Adjusted the min scan range of the weapon?

I can't increase photon sight range above 32....glitch?
Pretty sure that is anouther one of blizzard's arbritrary hardcoded limitations.
Depending on the design, It would probable be fine to give the AI player global map vision via a trigger.
