Problem:
Well i added an attack/weapon to a gateway on my map that I am currently making and I ran into a problem. I wanted the gateway to be able to morph into a warp gate, but an error occurred as i tried to do this.
Error:
The WARP GATE morphs into a GATE WAY, but the GATE WAY will NOT morph into a WARP GATE.
When I click on the morph ability, to morph into a warpgate from a gateway, the ability just stays lit up. The ability doesn't even start, the unit basically freezes until I order it to stop.
Things I changed to the gate way:
I added a weapon/attack to the gate way and changed the footprint to a 2x2 and the size of the model
Things I changed to the warp gate:
All i have changed was the foot print to a 2x2 and the size of the model
It would help if your post were more concise and less full of grammatical errors. I'm not trying to be nitpickey but I have no clue what the hell you're saying, and can't help you until you construct a paragraph that makes sense.
So, when you click "morph to warp gate," it doesn't even show up as a progressbar? Does the building's name change?
Based on your description, it sounds like everything should work, but obviously the morphing aspect broke. Can you upload either the map or screenshots of the morph ability's information?
the progress bar never shows and the buildings name never changes.
however, i found something very intriguing
If i place a war gate and gate way on the map then test it the following things occur:
The gate way cannot morph in to a warp gate
BUT
The warp gate can morph into a gate way and then morph back into a warp gate.
Solution:
The solution seemed to be a command card issue. I think the warp gate needs to keep "cancel" in the command card I will do further testing to ensure this is the issue. I have also not changed any of the unit abilities but will do so and see if an error occurs again or not.
Another thing i think may have been an issue is that command cards cannot overlap or interfere with each other when warping, but i may be wrong ( i will try testing to confirm this

And also add a weapon to the warp gate as well and see if it still warps both ways

Reason error occurred: (Proven through testing)
The reason the gate ways/ warp gates were acting weird was being of the command card issue.
The command card issue arises when u delete the "cancel" on the command card for the WARP GATE. Note: that there are two "cancel" command card buttons on the warp gate, so if someone deletes one errors occur.
Error that will occur:
IF one "Cancel" is deleted
THEN a warp gate or gate way will not be able to warp back and forth, but one will remain able to.
Example: If a cancel is deleted on the command card then a starting, or already placed gate way, may not be able to warp into a warp gate, however, if a warp gate is already on the map, or is built (not from a gate way), it will be able to interchange with out any issues. This error can happen the other way as well.
I have done testing and have proven this was the case by replicating the issue.

Okay another issue has arisen which i haven't been able to fix.
Problem
After my gate way attack it will fail to warp as previously stated, but if it doesn't attack it can warp back and forth indefinitely.
Solved. All I needed to do was check the actor flags for the warp gates moprh ability and uncheck "unit must be stopped"
